While injectable IL-15 has shown clinical benefit in colon cancer, its use is limited by the need for repeated injections, poor tolerability, and the protein’s inherently short half-life in the body. Our proprietary oral delivery method successfully protects IL-15 from the harsh acidic and enzymatic environment of the stomach, enabling targeted delivery directly to malignant cells in the colon as well as the intraepithelial NK cells and CD8+ T cells located there. This approach has the potential to provide more consistent therapeutic exposure, improved efficacy, better patient compliance, and a more convenient and affordable treatment option for patients.
